Hereke carpets are exquisite, handwoven rugs originating from Hereke, a coastal town in Turkey. Established in 1841 by Sultan Abdülmecid I, the Hereke Imperial Manufacture was initially tasked with producing textiles for the Dolmabahçe Palace. The workshop gathered the finest artisans of the Ottoman Empire, leading to the creation of high-quality carpets with unique patterns
